About Our School
SRVS NHSS was started in the year 2003 with a strength of 63 students, with a noble aim to impart high-quality education at a reasonable cost to students belonging to the Karaikal district and other rural areas.
The school has been gradually upgraded: as a middle school in the year 2006-2007, a high school in the year 2008-2009, and then a higher secondary school in the year 2009-2010. The present strength of the students is nearly 1200, and the school is now functioning in its own well-equipped building.
As a special feature, the existing classrooms of our institution have been converted into technology-enabled smart classrooms.
With a view to achieve district and state-level ranks in the X and XII Standards, special care and coaching are being given to the students. Teachers of our institution work hard to secure top district and state ranks in SSLC and H.Sc Public Examinations. From 2010 onwards, the institution has achieved the top rank in the X standard in the district level and a 100% result in the X standard public examination. Around 50 students of our institution have taken 100% marks in the science subject, and XII-Standard students in the public examination secured the 1st and 2nd level top rank in district level.
The period of 2020-2022 was a pandemic period, so no program was organized so as to follow the SOP to avoid the fatal disease.
In academic excellence, our students have secured the top position in HSC and SSLC public exams in Karaikal District during 2022-23.
Our objective is to ensure that every school-leaving student gets admission into the course and college of his/her choice, and the majority of them achieve this.
Among our students who have passed XII-standard during the last academic year, around 50 students have joined medical college and more than 200 students have joined engineering college.
